About why I was married so many times. Perhaps if I do like a series of these guys? Just to explain how it happened. Photo is of myself and first hubby in 1970 or there abouts. My blonde sister-in- law had talked me into bleaching my hair and I had ( just for fun) talked him into letting me give him a little patch of blonde in his hair He about never worked, and when he did and got paid a little, it usually went on drink. In spite of all this, I practically worshiped the guy. He was a mommas boy and she pretty well ran our life too. After 10 years of all this, he was drunk one night, came home and told me he had cheated on me several times in the past and would I forgive him ? That was it ! The straw that broke the camels back you might say. I didn't forgive him and when he passed out, I took my 3 kids and a few things and left him for good. So that's the story with # 1. I was 25 years old with 3 small children. # 2 next post What do you think ?

@marlina Took way to long though. I seem to have stayed stupid through 3 more before I found the right man.

Thats so sad. I’m glad he told you though as you deserved to know. I can and did forgive being cheated on once but more then once nope.

@bunnybon7 I wondered about that with my first husband as well if I should have tried longer.

@shaggin you always feel let down even knowing you done all you could. This ones next wife stuck with him 45 yrs now. I don't know if it's because she could get no one else to marry her or if he treats her better because I trained him well and he learned his lesson. I have heard he stopped drinking and no longer allowed his mother to run the show.

With the next one I felt perhaps I had given up on the first too soon. I found I jumped out of the pan into the fire with the next one.

Surprised you guys lasted 10 years. Now, I am curious...how many times have you been married? Two for me, and I keep telling myself the 3rd time is the charm, but I have to get my lazy butt in gear and hunt!

so that might take a few days for the next post. I'll try. Yes I was only one day 17 yrs old when I had my first baby the day after my birthday. Then, I had the next baby 11 months later before my 18th birthday,by the time I was 19, I had 3 babies. Hubby would say jokingly that he was afraid to take his pants off near me.

@bunnybon7 Can't wait to read you'r post about your other 4. I was only married one time, it lasted for 18 years, he was really controlling. After having to live with what I did while with him, I never wanted to get married again.

It's been so many years and I'm not good at math. I definitely know, I was 16 when I first married because I had to lie about my age. Back then, you could get away with that. I know it took at least near a year (9 months) to have my son. But I was only 1 day, 17 having him next day after my birthday. So maybe I was 24 when I left. I don't know. Not good at math. sorry.

@bunnybon7 - You were very young when you got married! I cannot believe that in your country they did not check the documents. My father had to sign his agreement when I got married because I was not yet 21 years old. Now the legal age to get married is 18, but back in time it was 21.

@DaddyEvil My dad worked with his grand father and they were friends. That's how we met. He came to visit his grand parents and they lived next door to dad. My aunt had taken me to dads to live after mom abandoned me at her house again for several months. but that's another story. Anyway, dad knew him well already so didn't want me around the guy. He tried.

@Fleura I think it depends on the person, maturity of mind, and how well you match. Too often people mistake infatuation and/or lust for love.

@bunnybon7 In my opinion that's way too young. In fact to my mind anyone under 30 is far too young to get married! But then there are always exceptions who choose the right person even at a young age, like @LadyDuck

Cheating is a big no-no in my book. My father was a forever runaround. Never could keep it in his pants. He's 72 now and impotent. Probably serves him right. lol Besides that his current wife is a hot mess. She's like 57 and looks like she's 77. Irony is a you-know-what. lol
