My son is over 17 months and i believe i've had my fair share of yelling. He's so naughty & i get anxiety when I'm not around because i feel like they'd spank him when he's up to no good. Please ladies, tell me it gets better with time. Lol

It can be very difficult, I understand. I won't say it gets easier my friend, as that was not the case for me. But I found that the key to stopping the tantrums was to distract the child. A joking laughing anything can lighten the mood for him and he may forget the yelling. Good luck.

He's only 17 months and so naughty. Well, maybe he'll get good when he gets a lil older right? Don't worry. If they spank or scold a 17 month child, they're not good.

At this age he must be like that, whoever around him, must understand this.

That's normal behavior for his age. Try to distract him and guide him. Yelling and spanking are awful!

@MphoHlako That's okay, but reading to a toddler helps with language, cognitive development, vocabulary, etc......

I've awfully learnt that yelling on a toddler lesson. He's getting to learn a few words and im noticing that he randomly screams "hey" of which i yell when he's being naughty. Now i try by all means just to say no as normally as i can when he's naughty.

He is 17 months and l always hear about the " terrible twos". Does that mean that the worst is yet to come?- not necessarily. Try not to lose patience with him and try to find non - violent methods of letting him know when he has done something wrong.

Nobody should spank a 17-month-old. He is still learning. You need patience. It's not easy, I know that from experience. Yes, it gets better as he learns.
