It can be very difficult, I understand.
I won't say it gets easier my friend, as that was not the case for me.
But I found that the key to stopping the tantrums was to distract the child.
A joking laughing anything can lighten the mood for him and he may forget the yelling.

Yes, whenever we play together isnt naughty but as soon as i start being busy & i give him his toys, he gets mischievous

@MphoHlako That's okay, but reading to a toddler helps with language, cognitive development, vocabulary, etc......

I've awfully learnt that yelling on a toddler lesson. He's getting to learn a few words and im noticing that he randomly screams "hey" of which i yell when he's being naughty. Now i try by all means just to say no as normally as i can when he's naughty.

Nobody should spank a 17-month-old. He is still learning. You need patience. It's not easy, I know that from experience. Yes, it gets better as he learns.
