That's Just Silly!

There are two German-based grocery chains in our region. Both of them carry economically priced groceries and both of them have what I refer to as treasure sections. You never know what you might find in the treasure section and it varies from week to week. Sometimes there are clothing items, sometimes gardening implements. I have found sewing machines and exercise equipment. There are always interesting surprises. A couple of weeks ago I found something that just made me laugh. Why on earth would someone want a tiny USB vacuum cleaner????

I wish I had one, I'd use it to get the dust out of my keys on my keyboard.

I think it is too small to even do that effectively!

Well, considering how small the spaces are between the keys it just might be effective.

@rebelann I have one of those attachments for my canister-vac that is basically a bundle of tiny tubes. It works well for cleaning out my keyboard, my sewing machine, and other sensitive, hard-to-reach places.

Aldi seem to do that here although we rarely go through. Vince's brother said they have some really great bargains from time to time. But there is always only a few of an item and they are not generally repeated.

The 'middle of Lidl' is always interesting too, and you can look online to see what they have on offer this week.

Lidl's "treasure" section is much larger than the one at Aldi's. Here at least. In both places, most real bargains are few and gone quickly.

They can be used in the car too but still.

@SophiaMorros Same here. That little vacuum and an artists paintbrush might make a good combination for cleaning smoke detectors or the fan on bathroom vents. But only one at a time lol. I would need to empty it out five times just to get the pine needles in my truck.

There is NO way it would be useful in my car. We track in entirely too much dirt!

Have you come across this song by the way? I love it! @JudyEv I think I might have shown you this before but just in case - I think you will appreciate it too!

That's a great song. I hadn't heard it before. We shopped at both Lidl and Aldi in Ireland. I think they were both on the continent too.

It is adorable, but I have heard that actually work pretty well for keyboards and tiny cleanups around the desk. I wanted one that was shaped like a ladybug haha

One more bit of clutter to add to my desk...and one more cord for the cat to chew her way through!

There are also some local shops that sell cheaper products. I think it is a good thing to have this kind of place especially now.

We also have two German-based grocery chains here, I am sure the same (Aldi and Lidl). I bought a very inexpensive sewing machine that is really good. I received that tiny vacuum cleaner as a gift, it's worth less than what it looks.

To get the crumbs off your keyboard when you've been eating lunch at your desk of course!

I have one of those attachments with lots of tiny tubes that I can use on my canister-vac to clean my keyboard and other small/sensitive areas.

I suppose you could just use a normal vacuum cleaner ;-) are we talking about Aldi and Lidl or are we not allowed to mention them (too late)

Yes, we are talking about Aldi and Lidl. I don't think we are forbidden to mention them by name.

Other then the possibility of using it on a keyboard, I cannot think of a reason. I tip mine over and shake it clean frequently enough that I wouldn't have a use for it.
