Thrift store book haul

I went to the thrift store the other day and for the first time in a long time I actually went through, aisle by aisle, shopping. What I ended up with was exactly what I was looking for: some interesting looking books to read, especially a few vacation books.
I tried looking in a couple Little Free Libraries to get some books to read but I can never find anything that would interest me in them.., so I gave up on that.
I found a total of 8 “new to me” books-and the soft cover/paperback price at Goodwill thrift stores is practically unbeatable-$1.49 each, so 8 books for around $10-this will keep me reading for a few months.
I am saving the Sandra Brown for my April beach vacation. She is an author that I can read fast (an “easy read” for me)-usually her stories have both mystery/crime and romance.
I am about 100 pages in to the book “We All Looked Up” by Tommy Wallach which is good so far but reminds me vaguely of “Don’t Look Up”-the Netflix movie. In fact, I can’t find the info but the movie has to be based on this book.
What are you reading these days? Anything good?

I love Sandra browns books! I love little free libraries. I try to drop books off and go but I always wind up taking home a few books. My sister dropped off a bag of books for me today from her boyfriends mother. I kept two the other ones I will put in little free libraries.

Have you ever gone to a library sale? They are fantastic. I used to walk away with boxes of books for about $20. I am just starting to read "The Hot Zone". It's a true story about the Ebola virus in the US.

That's nice, always great to get, just what you wanted. I went a couple weeks ago, to get a vase. Found one that I like, only .99!! Perfect.
Right now, no book reading.

You did well with your book shopping.
My sons have convinced me to read the book To Sleep in a Sea of Stars by Paolini. The book is a long one, 825 pages plus 2 appendixes and a lengthy letter from the author. I am saving it to read on our April camping trip to Virginia.
I'm also revising and editing my new manuscript with the help of my 4th-grade class.

I had gotten out of reading for a while, but I'm going back to the library more now. I love when I find a good book or two at the thrift stores. I like to shop for books at Ollies, they're great prices.

I've read Big Little Lies and enjoyed it. I'm not reading anything at the moment.
