I’m losing the plot!

This morning I was wearing a sweater and a pair of knitted leggings. But after lunch I planned to do some work outside, cleaning the chicken coop, weeding and pruning some shrubs. I didn’t want to get my leggings dirty and snagged on the branches, so I went to change into my old gardening trousers instead. It was only several hours later, when I went to the toilet, that I found I hadn’t actually changed my trousers at all - I had just absent-mindedly put the ‘gardening trousers’ on top!
