...my given name or full name, I always say 'Did you do something wrong?' It is like making them feel guilty over something. Are you like me? In my home, we usually call each other with our pet names or nicknames. So it is unusual if be called with real or given names here. Nothing is wrong with that.Your full name is your name.There are much more critical things to worry about than your family calling your full name. I dont want them to call it out in public though because you don't want strangers knowing your full name.

For me, it is okay if be called at the workplace and the like. I am not used to being called my given name by people close to my heart.

I would be very surprised if someone used anything but my first name. Nicknames and pet names aren't normal here, and I have only one first name. My mother had pet names when my brother and I were children, but they don't really fit very well now ;-)
