Well, the marathon has begun. Dale and I went to a men's shop and he was fitted for a tuxedo. I tried to talk him into a lovely red one, but no... So the measurements are taken (black tux with vest and bow tie. Again, no red, only black.) He's walking our granddaughter Kristin down the aisle which is so special for him. She's never been close to her biological father (long story) and Dale has been the closest thing to a daddy she's had. Robert and Nathan are going tomorrow to be fitted for their tuxedos. There was a bridal dress shop almost next door to the men's wear store, so I looked around a bit there. They have some really lovely mother/grandmother of the bride dresses. I don't plan to wear anything low cut or slit up the leg. But I don't want to look like an OLD grandmother, either. We're planning to drive to Raleigh to some of the larger department stores there, but it sure would be wonderful if I found the perfect formal dress in Greenville at the bridal shop. I'll go back one day soon and try some on. I've RSVP'd for the wedding, reception, and Sunday brunch. You'd think once I found the perfect dress, I could relax. Oh, no. There's an outfit for the rehearsal dinner, a little more casual outfit for the Sunday brunch, then of course there's shoes. And a little jewelry. Oh, and I hate to even think about hair and makeup. Tammy's going to have her makeup and hair done in Mt. Pleasant before the wedding, but what if she ends up looking clownish? Pay all that money, go home and wash it off, then fix it herself. So, I'll be doing my own. The wedding is the middle of May, but with the supply chain issues and orders being delayed, we don't dare try to order anything. If I can't buy it right then and carry it home, I'll just have to shop somewhere else. It's rather stressful, but what a wonderful stress it is! I pray Kristin and her fiancé will have a beautiful wedding, but most of all a blessed and happy marriage. I'll post a photo when I find that "perfect" dress, lol!
