The Goat Named Pekka

At the Nashville Zoo, a goat that was recently born to the goat herd was given the name Pekka. The name is in honor of the recently retired Nashville Predator goalie Pekka Rinne. His number 35 jersey will be retired at the home game on February 24.
“The Nashville Predators Foundation and the Nashville Zoo have collaborated on many different projects through the years. Since Rinne is the G.O.A.T or Greatest of All Time it seemed appropriate to name a goat after him.
Now Pekka the goat has moved into Grassmere Historic Home and Farm at the zoo joining female goat Kimber with the hopes that they eventually will have goat babies.
The Nashville Predators Foundation have made the announcement of releasing plush goats all with a number 35 jersey and the proceeds of the sales will go to the 365 Pediatric Cancer Fund.

How adorable. I had a friend who loved goats and because of her, I am subscribed to a couple goat pages. She passed away in 2017, but whenever I get a notification about the goats, I remember her.
