Some days are better spent in bed

Yesterday was the pits. Started out great and for once I thought I’d get home early from delivering newspapers. I ended up with a flat tire, called roadside assistance. At first they said they couldn’t find anyone for me on their list and that the person they did found would need $212 from me. I was already stressed to begin with, so naturally I freaked out. I mean seriously $212 to put a spare tire on? They eventually did find me someone on their list, but I had to wait two hours for them to come.
During this time I found out my insurance jacked up from $138 to $300 just because I accidentally ran over a rock that I didn’t see. The rock damaged the underside of the car and needed repaired. They didn’t tell me this and I was furious about it, especially finding out on my own.
While waiting for the tow guy to come, I took several newspapers and stuffed them in a duffle bag I keep in my car and walked several blocks to deliver them. By the time I came back, I still had to wait. He did come, two hours later, and was so sorry he was late that he kept apologizing. He had to tend to some car accidents and that was a priority. I wasn’t upset at him. I was upset at myself and the flat tire I had gotten.
Some good things though. I switched insurances and my insurance’s regular rate of $138 went down to about $70. I was still pretty upset through the entire day, and despite being exhausted, I wasn’t able to go to bed for the longest time. Even so, I think yesterday should have been avoided by the sanctuary of my bed.
Too bad that can’t happen.

Sometimes it’s just nice to stay in bed, even if you don’t sleep. Gives you time to relax your body and mind.

@Firestorm0122 I agree to have the 'bed weather' especially if the weather is cold.
