It's been very disturbing to watch the conflict happening with the two Soviet States and from all the news reports and scenes shown on television, it seems that some of the World is at war again.
Tragically so many people will suffer as collateral damage and just as we were easing out of the COVID-19 pandemic, another worldwide catastrophe occurs.
This 'war' as they are calling it will most certainly have an impact on the world's economy, travel, fuel prices, and without a doubt destabilize the international order that we have at the moment.
I have a vague idea of what brought this about, however, I cannot believe that in this amazing MODERN world, we cannot resolve our differences, be they political or other, in an orderly fashion and without the loss of lives.
You may post your opinion, as I would love to read.
From my part of the world to yours - wishing you a safe day.

I can't imagine what the people in the Ukraine must be dealing with it's tragic.
I was born in 1949 and although I, thankfully, never went through such a thing I can recall my dad being deployed to the Korean war in 1963 and high school friends being drafted and deployed to Vietnam in the late 1960s. To me it seems there's always some kind of conflict some where in the world.

@Inlemay I'm always going to be sad, worried, concerned etc for those who get caught in the middle of all this but I am no longer shocked these days. No matter what this world goes through, even if we all go through it together such as a pandemic, some humans still find reasons in their hearts for war. I am not surprised. I am pretty much on board with what you said. We all go through so much yet, some people out there, including leaders around the world, still find reasons and ways to make this world even more intense.

@Inlemay You're very welcome and thank you for your reply back. It's surely a scary time yet again. I just don't know what to think anymore now with all the bad things that happen. It seems never ending.

@VivaLaDani13 - never-ending is quite an apt statement for WORLD AFFAIRS going wrong.

I did not expect war. I hope the conflict does not spread.

I don't believe the human race will ever obliterate war... WWI was referred to as the war to end all wars... How many have there been since? How many will there be after? Humans are still savage animals in some aspects..

Hello there! I am from the Philippines and I am following the news about Ukraine and Russia and its sad that it turned out this way. Maybe both countries have their valid reasons in deciding but I think the leaders of both country should have more patience and understanding on the current situation.
I have seen too online that some Ukrainian families are separated from each other, Women, children and the elderly are brought to safe shelters and every man in the family is required to join the military to help their soldiers defend .
