That means when somebody or something does something good for you, you should be happy even if it is late or not what you wanted. So today, while out for my steps, I was quite literally shocked to see a "disaster relief" truck from the Red Cross. They were picking up debris leftover from the horrible storm we had early last month that caused the power outages and lots of problems. 6 weeks later on a warm Feb. day, we really don't need disaster relief laughable really...however, I guess Better late than never, but as the last half of that quote goes..better never late!

@snowy22315 In our state, some of these 'efforts' are coordinated from the city and they have absolutely no clue about what is really needed.

The truck looked like it was pretty full so I guess so. They didn't go down every street though.

It is well actually it was the development not my particular street. We don't have any big stuff done here anyway.

Yes, that's right. It did look like they gathered lots of broken branches and the like.

Sometimes it take a while for them to clean everything up, so that might be the reason.
That's like when a hurridcane or storm hits our area, people will complain about their lights being out for so long. I remember after one hurricane,(which flooded 3 towns near me) we were out of power for over a week, when my neighbor and I went to town some of the crew from the light company was siting down eating and she had the nerve to say that's why it's taking so long for everyone to get their power back on. It made me mad as fire when she said that, because I knew a member of the family that worked for the power company, so I knew what they were dealing with. They were working around the clock to restore power and having to wade in water over waist deep in some areas to get to the lines. Like you said, be happy that they came, even if it was 6 weeks later.
