Day 259
Jeremiah 15:15 O LORD, You know. Remember me and visit me. Take vengeance for me on my persecutors. In Your enduring patience, do not take me away. Know that for Your sake I suffered rebuke.
16 I found Your words and ate them. Your word is the joy and rejoicing of my heart. For I am called by Your name, O LORD God of hosts.
17 I did not sit in the assembly of the mockers. Nor did I rejoice. I sat alone because of Your hand. For You have filled me with indignation.
18 Why is my pain perpetual and my wound incurable which refuses to be healed? Will You surely be to me like an unreliable stream, as waters that fail?
It is hard sometimes to find answers when life takes an unexpected turn, and nothing makes sense. You did all the right things. You went where you were supposed to go. Yet, for all the right reasons, life stood against you.
Jeremiah did everything God told him to do. He prophesied to God’s people about what He would do to them because of their disobedience. Jeremiah reminded God about his faithfulness. He wanted God’s favor on him and his life.
As Christians, you face many dark days. You wonder as Jeremiah did, where God is during your trouble. You remind God you are on His side. You ask Him to show you where you erred so you can fix your relationship with Him.
God was quick to answer Jeremiah.
Jeremiah 15:19 Therefore thus says the LORD: “If you return, then I will bring you back. You will stand before Me. If you take out the precious from the vile, you shall be as My mouth. Let them return to you, but you must not return to them.
20 And I will make you to this people a fortified bronze wall. They will fight against you, but they will not prevail against you. For I am with you to save you and deliver you,” says the LORD.
21 “I will deliver you from the hand of the wicked. I will redeem you from the grip of the terrible.”
What are you doing that could compromise your faith? God wants all of you, not part of you. It is time to take inventory of everything you do. Lay it on the fire of God’s love. If it stands the flame, then you are walking in His will.
1 Corinthians 3:11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw,
13 each one’s work will become clear; for the day will declare it, because the fire will reveal it; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is.
14 If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward.
15 If anyone’s work burns, he will suffer loss, but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.
Let God’s love transform your life as you take inventory of your life in light of God’s will for you. Do not let the things of this world compromise your walk with Jesus. God told Jeremiah he was not to return to the old ways but to walk in obedience to Him.
Let’s pray: Father, show me what I need to remove from my life, so it is not contrary to Your will and purpose for me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Very well detailed bible study.
It's comforting when God assures someone that the enemies will fight against them but will not prevail against them.

Not really fallen, but with all the prophecies against Judah and Jerusalem, he needed encouragement that he was still doing what God wanted. We're no different when we see all the trouble around us. We want to know we're not going to be left behind or become part of the problem. Have a blessed day.
