Running Errands

Today I have a few things on the agenda. The first was to call the attorney handling the problem at my mother's house. Of course, she was not in the office. She is probably off at a Mardi Gras parade!!
The other thing that needs to be done today is a few errands here in town. I need to mail my mother's payment for nursing home, pay the water bill, and go to the co-op and get layer pellets for the chickens.
I knocked out the chores outside for the chickens earlier and coached the silly dog to go "play" outside. He really just wants to be lazy and sleep all day. Since it is warm and pretty today I got him out in the sun finally on my second attempt!
I'll be back later to get some reading done and back on those notifications!

Just did some running, too--had to pay my rent again, as there was an "issue" with my first check, then had some difficulty with my new lease, but thankfully was able to take care of that even before I went to the office. It's raining, so I will likely stay in for the most part today.

Like you, my wife also does all the errands for her mother who's 96 and in the hospital now since Feb. 17. Hopefully her mother will be discharged today. My wife has already borrowed a hospital bed yesterday from a friend and made arrangements for the delivery of an oxygen tank because my mother-in-law has a hard time breathing at times. She had a mild stroke that is why she was rushed to the hospital and there's water in her lungs and a small cut in her heart. With her siblings' concurrence, my wife signed a waiver not to have the water drained because it would cause much pain to their mom. She would be even in pain with the BP monitor strap on her arms.

Everything checked off but the phone call. Will have to wait for a call back on that one. He has been showing his preference for inside and also his kennel on the back porch. I have been insisting that he get some exercise other than walking to go potty on pretty days when it warms up.
