Turned 44 in February but i don’t feel a year older.
Went back to cycling and i have been doing that for three Sundays now. It feels good to be back to what i used to do many many years ago.
Turning 44 made me think of how it was for my mom. She was 45 when she passed away. She was not her healthiest when she was 44. I remember her taking hypertension medications. She was not in a great mood most of the time. She frequently visited the hospital. She never exercised. But she was a hardworking woman, taking care of her business and was in a lot of stress. Her stress reliever was making scrap books. She didn’t die due to poor health though.
I am not yet ready to leave my son at 45. But if i had the same fate as my mom, i only have a year left to spend with him and i’m making the most of it.

You're too active and vibrant to leave us at such a young age! I think you still have many wonderful and blessed years ahead of you!

@moffittjc If only I had total control over my life. But we actually don't. My parents had so many plans for us too and they had great reasons to keep going as well for many more years, including taking care of their grandchildren. But they didn't live long enough.

@LadyDuck very true. My son doesn’t make me feel old. He enjoys spending time with me. We play wordle, we ride our bikes, watch movies together, etc. He makes me feel young though sometimes he would tell me I’m really old lol.

@toniganzon I imagine that children make us realize how much the time flies.

Thank you. As much as I wish to live longer than that, nobody really knows. Both my parents never thought they'd die at 45.

Congrats on the birthday! (Pretty just turned 34 a few days ago. It doesn't seem like she's been around that long. Time flies.)
I'd rather not lose you any time soon.

Dear Daddy, time does fly fast. Our kids will forever be our babies.
I do intend to stay long.

@DaddyEvil when we're alone, I would still call my son Baby Craig.

@toniganzon A little girl asked me if I had any babies and thought it was funny when I pointed at Pretty and told her that was my baby.
I certainly hope so.

It has become my Sunday afternoon habit. I intend to keep doing it for as long as I can. This time, i don’t want to take a break nor quit from this favorite hobby of mine.

Happy belated birthday - you look fantastic! It's interesting that my mother's mother passed away at 43 (I am not clear on what health issues she had). So my mother and all her sisters thought that they would also pass away at 43. But thankfully they are all well beyond 43 now. Oh - and now me too. May you have many years more .

Oh I hope I could live longer than 45. My parents would have lived longer than that if they weren't killed.

It is difficult to live without one parent. It's horrendous to live without both.

@toniganzon The one thing about time. The older we get the faster it seems to go.

You make your own fate. I am sure yyou'll easily outlive your mom. It's good you're trying to take care of yourself.

Can't really say that I make my own fate. My parents did but they were murdered when they were 45. I'm sure it wasn't part of their plan.
