I would love to post a picture of the Nigerian market...
So the normal Nigerian market is so rowdy but interesting because you see all sorts of display; from the woman selling iced fish to the one selling clothes, snacks, the lady beckoning at you to come make your hairs and nails
Let me describe the man in the market that fascinates me
This man comes in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, he carries with him a black bag and on one hand a music player...
Looking for a perfect spot, he heads to an empty space were no one is, he lays his bag on the floor opens it and brings out a folded wrapper, he flaps it open and places it on the floor. He arranges different roots on the wrapper, also bottles with colorful liquids in them.
He sets his music box down and it begins playing a melodious Igbo music which he dances to and beckons on passer-by, when he has gotten there attention he starts showing the the roots and liquids
The funny thing is that all the roots can cure every type of sickness that exists, yet I have not seen a man that has been cured by them.

Rowdy market like the picture above? In China, we call it Gan ji or Miao hui. In rural area, people could Gan ji (means going to market) every week. The market day is not fixed in different villages and towns, so pedlars could come to next Ji(market)according to the schedule.
Miao hui only open on Chinese New Year holidays.
