A Thought Came To Mind

Was sitting outside enjoying the sunshine just now. A light breeze was blowing. Such a lovely day.
Thought about a post @Sharon6345 posted earlier about feeding the birds. I forget sometimes she is in NY and up high, close to the clouds.
I never see seagulls here but I bet she does. And they are probably eating her bread. I hope she can watch without being afraid. They will not harm you, especially from a distance.
Not my photo of course. These seagulls are not seen here.

I friend Dixie lives in an apartment and feeds birds there. I have a war with pigeons here.

@CarolDM They are. And pigeons can destroy even houses.

There are seagulls here. I think they literally eat everything, so they tend to hang out where people dump their food or even the open business trash bins. They don't bother people . . . but at the beach the might, especially if you leave your food out!

I haven't seen any seagulls in quite a while. I wonder if she does see them.

One thing I never liked about living in an apartment was not being able to have a “sanctuary” to feed birds and squirrels.

My son when he was a toddler visiting the beach was so cute because he chased the seagulls who landed on the beach. He honestly thought he could catch one and was sad that they were too fast for him.

When Nathan was little, I would push him in his stroller after going to McDonald's and we would feed the seagulls. We're only about 90 miles from the Atlantic Ocean.

@CarolDM One time we were feeding them from inside the car and I thought a couple of seagulls were going to fly right in the window!

We often have gulls around, even though we are in the middle of Kansas. They especially like to come when earth is getting turned so they can eat any insects.

They do like large bodies of water, but can be found inland like we are here. Parts of the lake have gulls.

We sometimes see birds walking happly around our streets not afraid of anything. I often have to stop to let them cross in front of me.

I see many seagulls flying here above my little place Carol.
There are lots of them around Sloans Lake over here also.
Yet, here I am at the foothills of the Rockies.
I sure miss the beach when I see them.
