A quote by 'Happy' made me think how interesting it might be to collect some of our quotes. I have a notebook in which I have saved one or two notable quotes over the years and I would like to start with one of mine:
'You cannot gain an inch by standing on your dignity.' Perhaps like Happy's quote it is easier said than done as emotions pop out faster than sensible attitudes.
But when put to practical use they can save us some embarassing moments.

So many,,,some simple like haste makes waste, and Too many cooks spoil the broth.
