Other people wake up at 4am with a start and think "did I pay that bill?" or "did I remember to do x y z" or maybe even wonder if they missed a significant event in someone's life. I however wake with a start at 4am wondering if I missed a step in the transformation of ecoli to express Shigella Flexeneri genes. Not only this I also realise that my lab partner will only get colonies that are resistant to kanamycin and ampicilin on the final plate they set up because they didnt flame the loop between sampling bacteria to destroy anything on the loop to "save time"

Uhm... you're in college, so get to worry about ... uhh... let's call them "odd" things right now. Hopefully your lab partner's grade doesn't have any bearing on yours.
I pay all our bills for the month at one time, which I just finished doing, so I sleep well without any of the worries...

@Fa_Maverick Maybe you can just infect your lab partner and then irradiate the sample dish after that? (There are cages you can put him in, just to see what happens, right?)

I woke up suddenly worried I missed a step to modify a bacteria to show characteristics of a different bacteria.
Lab partner didnt sterilise his spreading tool between putting bacteria on plates with antibiotics on it so the bacteria that grow will be resistant to both antibiotics
Does that clear it up?
