Large UK companies held to account over salary gaps between male and female workers

I’ve just written about how Australia is tackling inequality between cultures and genders. Another interesting article turned up on much the same subject.
We have just had International Women’s Day (IWD) when there is much pomp and circumstance by some organisations about how valued their female members are and how ‘equal’ they are to their male counterparts.
However, in the UK, a Twitter bot, the Gender Pay Gap Bot, and I quote “reveals the extent to which UK-based brands celebrating IWD are paying their female employees less than their male employees.”
The system is automated somehow and uses information from a database the records salaries of those employed in UK companies of more than 250 employees.
It’s all a bit beyond my ability to summarise so rather than be reported for plagiarism, I’ll give you the link: https://www.abc.net.au/news/science/2022-03-11/gender-pay-gap-bot-international-womens-day-twitter/100898172
Photo is my own of a briar rose.

It happens in almost every big business. And probably most smaller ones too.

@wolfgirl569 Most were making a big fuss about IWD and writing glowing things about the women in their organisations or elsewhere.

It certainly isn't fair that men get more money when women do the same work.

Beautiful roses. I am amazed that gender inequality is still so prevalent.
