Help Settle A Bet

I will sometimes buy store bought cake frosting for an easy way to frost a cake or brownies.
Here's the deal.
I will open a container and eat spoonfuls of frosting. Over the course of a few days, I will have finished the entire container one spoonful at a time. My favorite is Betty Crocker milk chocolate, creamy style.
My wife thinks this is insane and that no one else on the planet does this with frosting.
I'm hoping to find at least one other person that does the same thing. I want proof that either my wife is right and no one else has done this, or better yet, that I am not the only one to do this.
I appreciate your help in settling this bet.

I make a lot of my own frostings too. But I still like to have store bought for a quick chocolate fix lol.

@Vikingswest1 I guess I am a foodie or a snob. I would never use pre-made commercial frosting these days

This is what I will do:
I'll open a container and frost a cake. Usually I'll only do the top, so this means I will have leftover frosting.
Why waste perfectly good frosting. Instead of throwing it out, I'll keep it in the fridge and eat the leftover frosting. Not wanting too much sugar in my system, I'll eat only one (or so) spoonful a day .

@Vikingswest1 You know what - I've never frosted brownies (I didn't realize we are suppose to!).
My family loves mint chocolate anything . . . I'll try that! I know the thin mints well .
The frosting doesn't go to waste, just goes to the waist .

Hahahah
I used to joke with my wife that she kind of looked like a muffin in tight jeans. I made the mistake of answering truthfully when she asked if her jeans looked too tight.
I would bring it up every so often. Now she says she looks more like a popover. I didn't comment this time.

I usually use an entire container for a cake, covering top and sides but when I frost brownies, I only use half.
Have you ever used mint chocolate frosting on brownies?
They taste like Girl Scout thin mint cookies. Yum
You have a good reason to eat spoonfuls, you don't want it to go to waste. Good thinking.

I do it all the time. And these days, it does take me a few days to finish a whole can. It used to take just one night but if I do that now, I just get sick.

I bought the old TV series from the 70's. I have only watched one of the movies but like the old show better.

I have had many one-nighters lol
It usually takes a few days for me too.
I bought the Mission Impossible series on DVD and it's cost me two containers in a week.

I try to stay away from sweets as much as possible. But, I knew a girl back in the eighties that would eat spoonfuls of butter by itself.

I DO like the flavor. I seriously doubt that they put actual butter in many store bought brands unless they promote it on the label.
I have had a sweet tooth my whole life but too many sweets isn't a good thing.

@Vikingswest1 I like butter in saltines and can eat too many. It's best not to start

@Vikingswest1 maybe the frosting is loaded with butter but because it has another flavor, chocolate, you're able to eat it that way without putting it on top of anything.
My husband better not do it as he already eaten to many sweets

That's funny. I have already found another member here that eats the same kind of frosting as I do.

Pretty does that all the time. I buy the frosting for a cake or brownies and then, when I go to get the frosting, it's either gone or mostly gone. It drives me nuts!

I like it at room temperature too. It says to refrigerate after opening but I don't always do that. It hasn't killed me yet.

I sometimes skip the cake mixes and just get the frosting. For a dollar and 29 cents, you can get a pound (453g) of the creamy chocolate goodness.

Hmm...
We rarely make cakes anyway, but when we do... maybe we just don't make the same cakes most other people make...
We don't really put frosting on the cakes. At all.
I mean, I have nothing against frosting on cake that was bought or given already frosted. But I can't quite see why I would want to put frosting on a cake I'd make (usually a banana, or apple, or carrot cake).
We usually just dig into the cake shortly after it's done cooking. No time for frosting.
Or maybe we're just lazy.
