My husband gets banned by Facebook – for pornography

Vince, my husband, is a keen photographer and belongs to quite a few Facebook (FB) groups that deal with photography. Some have ‘challenges’ from time to time. The photo above was for a challenge but I can’t remember what the challenge was.
When Vince posted it, FB informed him it had been removed because of pornographic content. Then there was an apology from them, saying they’d made a mistake. He then posted it on another site, saying how it had been rejected and, of course, it got removed again. This happened enough times that he was banned for 24 hours.
I hope he has learnt his lesson now and doesn’t take any more photos of naked pears.

That's ridiculous! How could they think that was suggestive?

@1creekgirl I don't either. The algorithm on Fb is crazy. I stopped going to that site four years ago. I was sick of all the nastiness there.

Not many know but they can easily check but guess they just like will anyone even notice. Facebook is run by algorithms in fact did a survey about that the other day. All they asked about was ai , Facebook is disconnected from real world and employees they want no part of real.

That's pretty funny. Maybe people thought there were implications there.
Maybe had he not mentioned it getting pulled already it might have stayed visible longer.

Ridiculous act by Facebook.
But may be they have highly programmed regulatory algorithm and that banned his account.
But yeah sometimes we do learn lessons to be extra cautious in certain respects.

It wouldn't have been a human that first got upset about it. It would have been an algorithm. But it's all good now.

@JudyEv I still can't find a racy part. This is top secret. Don't tell anyone: I took a photo of my foot wound this morning and tried to make it look like a vagin...never mind. Like something racy. I may post it here, just to see what happens. I have not "developed" it yet.

It is said that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder; probably malice too. People responsible for the banning of Vince had malice in their minds.

Seriously, I cannot 'pear' facebook..they are utter garbage.
I can see the humor in this what you posted, but that facebook needs to be banned.

That's ridiculous that Facebook banned that! Wow, a person can hardly say anything on that site.

They should spend their time researching things that ARE offensive and not things that are so innocent.
