I have to give credit where credit concerned Earl Polk who did his best to save the life of his daughter on Monday evening in his home in Bethel Alaska when he went to the bathroom after he had just finished lighting his wood stove and stacked some wet wood close to the stove so it could dry.
What happened next was that his daughter who in the bedroom getting ready to take her nap ran out of the bedroom after she and her dad when they heard a noise which became a huge fire inside of their home.
Earl admitted that he and his daughter were scared and they acted quickly to leave their home that was on fire since the heat from the flames as well as the speed of the fire was ready to consume them.
Earl carried his daughter out of the house quickly through the front door by crawling out of the house due to the extreme heat with the clothes he and his daughter were wearing outside in cold weather.
Earl must have had a guardian angel looking out for his daughter since a man driving a truck allowed his daughter to stay inside of his warm truck while Earl waited for the first responders to arrive to take care of him and his daughter who has Down's Syndrome.
Earl wants to find the man with the truck to personally thank him for taking care of his daughter since his home is completely destroyed even though he still has his own truck.
Both Earl and his daughter suffered minor injuries due to the fire but they are going to rebuild their home.
Earl and his daughter are now living in the home of his brother for the time being. I can only hope that the American Red Cross and his community will come to his aid as well as his daughter.
