And he's supposed to be Putin's eventual replacement... As they say in diplomacy 100 - always talk.. Now, and not at the point of no return. Remember the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis. People always talk about the system as if it weren't run by humans. Vasily Arkhipov probably saved the world. Every US President from HW Bush to Trump seemed to have tried to get along with Yeltsin and/or Putin and just because we're where we're at now, doesn't mean we should slam the door. The world powers are probably talking now... hopefully. There's an interesting story of how Putin is talking with Biden (2011), and Putin takes his finger, and presses it against his skin right underneath his eye downward and says something to the effect of... even if we have the same skin color, we are not the same.

I have never believed in the process of diplomacy in all situations. The reality is that you cannot reason with maniacs, and thinking you can is a recipe for disaster in my opinion. Guys like Castro, Kim Jong Il, Putin, and any other tyrannical dictator you can come up with aren't interested in a rational discourse. The very reason they are dictators is because their interest is in power absolutely. The unfortunate reality is that when men like this do rise to power, it is always the regular folks who suffer for it, and in more ways than one. Being on social media for as long as I have, talking with people from many countries and cultures, the one thing that never ceases to amaze me is how much alike we all are. It's the governments that mess it all up and make us different.

Those are the intriguing ones, though.. Nixon, Trump, too. I doubt anyone is interested in George W. Bush. He's too much of an artist for us to understand his "talents"

@PinkFloydFan I think the American Presidents are tame compared to world dictators like Putin, Saddam Hussein at al.

@sharonelton I was going to say the opposite, lol... Iraq is now in shambles, and those who hated Saddam now think he was great for the country (I live in Michigan, many Iraqis, including some neighbors/friends).

Russia is really crazy, they use the nuke bombs to threaten whole freedom worlds that hope no one help Ukraine. They should be forbidden in every area like North Korea. Now they haven't conquer Ukraine, they can threaten with Nuke bombs. If they recover the land of Sovie Empire, they definitely will use nuke bombs first to destroy USA and the whole Western Europe. Every freedom country has to stop Putin's crazy invasion. If he won, there won't leave any freedom to human.Surely,it's better than conquered by CCP.Under CCP's Tyranny, you won't have freedom, you even can't be a human, you only can be Communist slaves, cattles and zombies. That's a hell worse than Russia.

And Japan Nazi should get nuke bombed, they massacred 90 millions of Chinese People. If US didn't stop Japan's invasion, many people would die in their massacre

@choijungeun Japan was already "done" and ready. But they knew Japanese culture about surrender, and wanted to embarrass them. There's no excuse for dropping nuclear weapons on largely civilian areas. Even the American planners admit Iraq was all a lie. There were no weapons of mass destruction, no ties to any terrorist groups. Wolfowitz said it was all about the oil! Who do you think installed Saddam? The CIA! They hired Saddam to kill Qarim Adbdul Qasim, and when he failed, the CIA killed him themselves in 1963 (along with JFK, Patrice Lamumba, Diem, etc), and also safely got him to Egypt, where he came back to be his cousin's Vice-President, but was already calling the shots in the 60s. Libya is now the center of human slave trade. The American embassies were used to funnel money to fund any opposition groups to get rid of (another) secular leader in Assad.... creating.... ISIS... They admit this, but too many people in America close their eyes unless it's something trivial or gossip.

the US is the country invading many countries... and the only country to drop nuclear weapons.
