Wow. It’s been a long time since I had prednisone, so I forgot the “joys” of the side effects. I told my brother I sat up in bed this morning at 5 AM like I’d been given an IV of double expresso made with Jolt Cola so I could take a No-Doz with Mountain Dew. I just woke up about a half an hour ago. HELP!!! Oh, and if you need help, here’s a song with “help” in the title. #9: I Can Help - Billy Swan I have to admit that this song has always confused me a little. That line, “If your child needs a daddy, I can help” is the problem. Is he offering to be a good step-dad to the woman’s kid, or is he offering to get her pregnant? Anywho, Billy Swan is generally considered a one-hit wonder, and that is more or less true; however, he also wrote one of my 100 favorite songs: Clyde McPhatter’s “Lover Please.” With a resume like this big hit (#1 pop and country in 1974 in the US and many other places) and writing that big hit, I don’t think he worried too much as he cashed his royalty checks.
