Question of the Day- What Is Your Least Favorite Household Chore?

When it comes to doing chores I guess the easy answer is I hate them all. I mean who enjoys dusting, moping, mowing the lawn, vacuuming, doing laundry, and cleaning litter boxes. But if you had to narrow it down to the one you detest the most what would it be and why?
For me it would be sweeping the dust and dirt up off the floors. It just seems like I spend so much time finding dirt here and there, but can never get the floors completely clean. For my Mom especially later in life it was preparing meals. I think she was all smiles when someone suggested ordering pizza for dinner,
In one recent survey what chore do you think most people mentioned as their #1least favorite?
Maybe your choice made the top five. Answer and see…

Yes, that would be quite a chore to do. Well, you named the right room. #1 on the survey as most hated was cleaning the bathroom Oven cleaning another job I don't enjoy doing.
Other household chores one could mention:
feeding pets
walking the dog
taking out the trash
cleaning the kitchen

Personally, my least favorite chore is changing the bedsheets. That’s an asthma attack waiting to happen.
As for what everyone else would say, my guess would be the two “dirtiest” chores, cleaning the bathroom or taking out the garbage.

Never thought of that one, but come to think of it, I don't enjoy making the be either. Yes, the bathroom was tops! The trash is another good one.
#1 on most people’s survey list was cleaning the bathroom followed by Washing dishes, doing laundry, cleaning the refrigerator, and completing yard work.

My least favorite chore is scrubbing the toilet....which I just did five minutes ago. I don't mind all the other chores though. And secretly, I love doing laundry! lol

@dgobucks226 I like yard work most of the year. But living in Florida, our summers are brutal. Those summer months are when I hate doing yard work.

You know... laundry does not bother me either. Your least favorite is the most mentioned among those surveyed. Seems the bathroom area icky work. And where most bacteria congregate, yikes!

Not a fan of yard work it can be quite a physical workout at times.

I too hate sweeping and squabing the floor as I have pain in my hips and waist and I am old too. I find the vacuum cleaner bulky and a nuisance now.

@dgobucks226 I do have a mop but mopping the whole house is tiring and cosumes lots of time. I have a long handle brush and wiper which makes bathroom cleaning easier.

Moping the floor is a good one to mention. I use a swifter mop which helps the process a lot for me. I can relate to dragging a vacuum cleaner around the house. They can be cumbersome. Many dislikes bathroom cleaning. That was mentioned the most on a survey of worst chores.
Other household chores one could mention:
feeding pets
walking the dog
taking out the trash
cleaning the kitchen
doing laundry
cleaning the refrigerator

@dgobucks226 I’d rather clean 5 toilets then do one sink full of dishes . I cleaned the bathroom sink and mirror today but have still to do the toilet.
I clean the fridge when I see it’s grimy or there is a spill.

@dgobucks226 Ah - #1! Probably because it has to be cleaned quite thoroughly and people think it's kinda "gross". I wouldn't mind those other chores so much.

I rarely do dusting, moping. And I have limited cooking skills.
They are taken care of by my wife!
I help her with whatever she asks me to.
Overall, I have no issues as I love whatever I have to do.
I agree cooking could be the toughest job for me!

I hated vacuuming the most. We have a housekeeper now because I can no longer do what is required; but vacuuming is such a thankless chore. You can't really tell if the rugs are cleaner when you're done. Dusting is the same way...within a day it looks the same.

@dgobucks226 Laundry wasn't too bad when I was still able to do it. Cleaning the bathroom is the worst job as far as I'm concerned -- even more than vacuuming and dusting.

I guess I am a bit weird when it comes to household chores because I enjoy them all the same.
I only grumble when I feel like my back hurts or something from doing too much of everything at one go.
But.. if I have to choose the least favorite household chore, I'd say it has to be cleaning out the fridge. Mine is pretty unique and needs clearing out around twice per month.
That means I have to power off everything and wait for it to function well and good again. That will usually take about half a day, and I need to focus on it throughout while other chores need to wait.

Yes, that's so true about the fridge. It is time consuming to do compared with other chores! I try to spread my cleaning out over both days of the weekend. But it does get the best of my back too at times, especially if I add yard work into the mix.

Idk why but I hate folding laundry lol. I'll run it through the machines just fine, I just have a bad habit of leaving them in the hamper once they're clean lol. I guess in my head I'm thinking "I'm going to wear that tomorrow anyway, why bother folding it?" I know it helps prevent wrinkles but right now while I'm working mostly from home or have uniform shirts (which I do hang up) for my other jobs, I don't see the point.

@dgobucks226 I....got automatic dog feeders for my dogs so I don't have to worry about that part lmao. I call them the "robots." You can record your voice into them and everything so when they go off at their set time it sounds like me calling my dogs over to eat.
I honestly didn't get them because I was lazy. It was to make life easier for my roommates when I went on a trip last year. The dogs also have a dog door to the back yard so they can handle their own potty breaks. All my roomies had to do was check in on them, make sure their water didn't run out, and give them some love here and there.
But did I stop using them when I came back from vacation? No. Now in the mornings when my dogs are hungry they don't jump on my face to wake me up, they just sit by their respective feeders and wait lol.
