Easter Bunny and Candy in April

Seems lately that Easter is not included on most calendars. Don't want to offend anyone I suppose. Anyway, I look it up online each year. This year, it falls on April 17th.
Funny how the day is different each year. The moon's cycles played an important role in ancient times, and it remains the way the date of Jewish holidays are determined, including Passover.
Eventually, Christians decided to observe Easter during the same time as Passover, with early celebrations occurring on the first Sunday after the first full moon of spring.
I don't do anything special for Easter but I do have many memories. Dustin and his egg hunts, baskets and outfits for church. And of course the Easter Bunny visited him the night before. Many things to reminisce about.
And there is the candy. I enjoy the Easter colored M&M's. As well as the Cadbury eggs. But I don't eat sweets like I used to.
Do you have a favorite Easter candy? Or if you don't celebrate, what is your favorite candy in general?
Photo is mine. An early Easter treat.

I loved the cadbery eggs, too. I don't get them as often anymore.

I like the Reeses Eggs.
I doubt we will have any this year.

I was wondering when Easter was this year! I've seen all the candy and decorations at the grocery stores, but I had no idea when the holiday was! Like you said, it doesn't seem to be on calendars much anymore these days.
I don't really have a favorite candy. Basically, anything with chocolate in it!

Your Easter M&M's look very appealing. I like "Robin's Eggs", those hard shelled pastel malted milk eggs.

I'm getting ready for Easter and it seems I spend more time on what candy we're getting rather than the food I have to buy
Instead of giving the grandkids chocolate bunnies I'm going to make one big basket for everyone to share. Of course I won't put it out until dessert time.
My all time favorite Eadter candy is Peeps but I like almost every candy

Jelly beans have always been a favorite - spiced, fruit, cinnamon and black licorice.

Like Halloween and Christmas, I like to do my candy shopping a day or two after the event lol.
I like any candy that doesn't have a maple flavor but caramel and chocolate are my favorites. I can't even look at Peeps without getting a sick stomach.

When I was a kid my grandparents would buy my brother and I a dark chocolate coconut egg. It took a while to get it gone as it was so big. They were 5 pounds each. Here is a picture of what it looked like. I think Nana got them from Sears where she worked.
