Dressing For Bed.

How do you 'dress'for bed? Do you place comfort over appearance when you go to bed? Of course that might depend on whether you are sleeping alone or with someone else. Some people feel comfortable in pajamas ( are those still worn a lot?) Others prefer T-shirts, shorts or sexy attire. The kind of weather you are having would also determine how you dress for bed. Whatever you do wear, the important thing is feeling comfortable enough to get a good night's rest. What do you wear? Pixabay image.

in summer probably nothing. In winter socks,t shirt shorts and a woolly hat. My knees generate a lot of heat these days so they are usually out of the bed

In summer nothing? That is not quite safe is it? I mean suppose there is a fire in the building and you must get out real fast.

In the winter, I wear fleece lounge pants and a nice warm baggy shirt with long sleeves that matches. Yes, they have to match, don't ask me why. Oh, and socks, because my feet are always, always cold due to severe neuropathy in my legs. Summer, cotton lounge pants and a nice skimpy shirt.

@Kandae11 Not really. But I have a daughter who thinks I need ''at home clothes'' to relax in, so she gifts me sometimes and I wear them. I don't care what I wear to bed, as long as I'm not cold or hot.

@Kandae11 Yes, I have time to grab my dressing gown that is on the chair at the bottom of our bed. I have all the time to wear it rushing down the stairs. I often dress like that when I get up in the morning in summer.

Nothing. I pull the sheet up over me and stick my feet out from under it because I get too warm at night.

Cotton allows your skin to breathe. I love the feel of silk or satin against my skin.

Whatever is comfortable and helps me sleep well. I don't wear pajama going to bed, I never find it comfortable even in my childhood.

Am I missing your saying what you wear ? I used to wear just a t-shirt when John was alive. Then before I got disabled for the next 3 yrs. I wore PJ's. now I just wear what ever I fall asleep with, like pants and scrub shirt. that are big and loose comfy and have pockets for my inhaler and tissue.

Okay. I sleep alone in my bed, except for an old teddy bear my mother gave me years ago. However, my night attire is kind of fancy and probably frivolous.

I love your picture used for this discussion. It looks serene. I use cut outs from old dresses and make them into the night dress that I like. Cotton and satin are the best materials to use, in my opinion.

Being comfortable during sleep is my #1 priority! During summer, I'll take out my thin blanket and use it to cover myself at nights. I easily get colds, but I don't want to feel hot while I'm sleeping, so I opt for the thin one When rainy season comes, I'll fold it and get the thicker one.

My bedroom windows have mesh, but sometimes mosquitoes do get in- and l don't like being bitten so l cover with a thin sheet. Even a thin blanket would be too warm for me.
