The Gilded Age ,its supposed to be like Downton Abbey but set in America .Hope it gets better but I think one of the actresses has woodworm (Carrie Coon)
Also starring merlyl Streeps daughter who is marginally better but miscast as an 18 year old .The man with the beard is also terrible and when the two are together its just atrocious .
Im carrying on with it iin the hope of it getting better but I dont think Maggie Smith needs to worry on the acting awards

probably on you tube now - the lady hotel owner doesnt leave the correct gap between conversations so it sounds like she is reading a script (yes i know she is lol but we are not supposed to know )

in theory it should be good written by the same person as downton abbey , but seems a little off so far

@DianneN lol - I enjoyed The queens gambit , not that its anything like downton abbey , its about chess which sounds quite dull lol

I've seen the Gilded Age in the listings but haven't watched it. I used to follow a whole bunch of programs; but that got to be too much. Now I just watch a half-dozen on a regular basis.

I hate when I start a show and it isn’t as good as expected. Sometimes I keep going too. Hopefully it gets better for you. I’ve never heard of woodworm I’ll have to look that up.
