Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are engaged

Again. They were engaged and planned to marry 18 years ago. Their relationship was so huge and public that they were called "Bennifer". That was the first combination of names for celebrity relationships. There have been many since. Anyway they had a very public relationship and even made a totally awful movie together. (Gigli) Just days before their wedding (the tables were already set) it was called off. No reason was given. Lopez went on to marry Marc Anthony and have 2 children while Affleck married Jennifer Garner and had 3 children. They both eventually wound up divorcing their spouses and had other relationships. Somehow they crossed paths again last year and have been an item ever since. Today Lopez confirmed that they are engaged and showed off an engagement ring with a central emerald and diamonds on each side. I didn't recognize it as an emerald as it seems so much more pale green than others I'm used to seeing. I'm not surprised that Affleck gave her a ring with a colored stone. The first ring he gave her had a pink diamond. I have always hoped that Ben would reconcile with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner. Oh well. Guess that isn't going to happen.
