Can A Couple Get Married In Your Religion Even If

Philippines

I knew about interfaith marriages. I remember in elementary school a classmate said one of his parents was Catholic while the other was Protestant. However, in this article, it said, "Despite neither bride nor groom being Jewish, the couple confirmed in a video for Vogue that they will having be a Jewish wedding. The ceremony will include glass-breaking, a chuppah (wedding canopy), a Hebrew blessing and the signing of a ketubah (marriage contract). The groom also revealed that he’ll be wearing a yarmulke (a skullcap)." (Link to article attached.) I didn't know this was possible.
The couple are tying the knot tomorrow in what is expected to be the showbiz wedding of the year.

I think it is possible. Some religions are open to this.

I think anything is possible in modern times. I am fine with interfaith marriage and with couples choosing the kind of wedding they want.

Wow, I guess if the Jewish would allow it why not. But I think it would be appropriate for them to embrace the ceremony by converting to their religion to make it more memorable and meaningful for them. It seems it would look like they are doing it for the show and have no religious affiliation.

A couple should have the same belief / religion.

It could be possible. But if a member of a certain group marries non-member , he or she will be out of the organization (tiwalag) that based on what I understood.

In the codex of the catholic church, an intermarriage with other faiths is allowed. Mixed marriage is a marriage between a catholic and a baptized Christian. Another one is "disparity of cult" which is a marriage between a catholic and a none Christian believer.
