Busy Weekend

My weekend has been busy. It seems like every day has been that way lately. Yesterday, we went to the next town over which is bigger than our little town to do a little shopping.
Hubby wanted to go to Harbor Freight because they were having a Black Friday in April sale that lasted through Saturday. He wanted to get some of the tarps they had on sale to enclose the tent that we recently used at the Farmer's Market. He is about to start a project to rebuild the carburetor on his boat motor. He will do this under the tent to avoid direct sun rays. There were also a few other items he picked up on sale such as zip ties. It seems we never have them when you need them!
I went to Dirt Cheap next door while he was doing his shopping. I found several things for 3 of the grandchildren for upcoming birthdays. That takes care of that shopping!
We decided to go grab a bite to eat then because we also need to stop at Walmart for a few grocery items. We decided to go to Wendy's, which wasn't the least bit crowded.
Out Walmart trip turned into a bigger trip than we planned. You know how you always add things to the basket? Well we both kept thinking of things we were out of so the buggy filled up quickly.
Today we are working in the yard. It is sunny, warm and beautiful outside. My husband mowed the grass and I am digging up wisteria to pot.
That's my weekend so far. How is/was yours?

I stepped outside long enough to see that the spinach and tomato plants are doing fantastic. The bell peppers in the laundry room are sprouting nicely and can be moved to pots on the front porch by the end of April. We still haven't found any Fountain Grass to plant along the front of the house and the two we already planted still aren't sprouting yet.
Hope you're enjoying your weekend.

@kareng It's been very quiet here. My BP keeps dipping so I've mostly stayed in bed, watching YT videos or talking on myLot. I slept for a couple of hours this morning but haven't been able to go back to sleep.
I did just step outside long enough to take a picture of the baby spinach in the pot on the front porch. I might write a discussion about it later.

@allen0187 Good luck with that. We are pretty much limited to inside stuff here with all the rain.

Dirt Cheap sounds like an interesting store name.
My Saturaday was spend at work. Today I slept until lunchtime and haven't done much. I did go for a short walk with the kids.

Dirt Cheap buys closeouts from other retail stores and resells them. Some things are good bargains and others are not. For instance you may see a tag on something with store name and original retail price tag. Then you look at the dirt cheap price with is more than original retail and then take the discount off and you are still paying more than the original retail. Nope, no thanks. You have to be careful.

@Deepizzaguy Sad, but I will survive I suppose. Did you have backups of your photos and files?

My weekend was quite busy as well. WE have to gather our stuff from our previous home and transfer it to our new home. We still haven't unpacked them at all. This whole week is going to be really busy.

I understand. With the weather turning warmer (occasionally ) we have a lot to “catch up on.” I was out picking up branches and twigs out of the yard from all the recent windy days, and my neighbor mowed my lawn (isn’t he the best?!?!????). I’m cleaning up a storm in the house, too, getting ready to take a load to Goodwill.

A very good weekend for you & your husband got lots done and good sales too! Mine was quite, until I got an email for an herbal supplement I needed on sale, that they'll hold just 4 days. Today, Sunday, I flew out of home, rode the bus to 6 shops. Got everything though except palm leaves pastries. Got home in before sundown. We love sales, don't we.

They sure are! But, what choices do we have? Got to hunt for sales, as we usually do.
