a) So, this morning, we had champorado which google says is translated to chocolate rice porridge in English... And I thought, for a post here on mylot, I'd share some of the weird reasonings I had as a kid for not liking certain foods.
Particularly, I didn't like softdrinks, not because I knew it was bad (I was a kid, I didn't know what foods were good and bad...), but because when I would drink it and I burped, there would be this unpleasant feeling of something coming up the back of my throat and up my nose. I disliked that very much.
Another is that I preferred oatmeal over champorado because on standing, oatmeal becomes less watery, while champorado becomes more watery. And I disliked watery champorado...
b) Basically, my reasons were weird (I think) and not at all because of whether the food is good or bad. Which brings me to the big question of what foods are good and what foods are bad.
Times like these, I wish I took up Nutrition in college. That now sounds to me like a very good course to take, because it has application in our everyday lives. I mean, we all eat everyday, right?
c) But alas! That's not what I took up in college. It's actually a good thing now that there's the internet! Because now, we have access to information at our fingertips that we didn't have before.
d) But there's a problem still. I mean, yeah, it's great that we can access all this info. But then we also get exposed to fake info, fake stuff, and it can get really hard to figure out what is true, what is not, and what to believe!
e) And then I realized oh my gosh... I just started with thinking about champorado and I end up thinking about what's real and what's not on the internet. Did I just fall into a rabbit hole?
f) Wait... that is the term, isn't it? So I google the term and yeah, I think I got it right, more or less. "One in which the pursuit of something leads to other questions, problems, or pursuits."
Kind of like what happens when you watch one video on youtube, then you click another linked to below... and then another and then another... and you suddenly realize that you started out watching a video on how to grow microgreens and now, you're watching a 3-hour video on police interrogations of a 15-year old girl, her boyfriend, and their... protector(?) regarding the murder of the girl's father.
g) Is this what happened to Alice when she followed the rabbit? It's been so long since I've read Alice in Wonderland, I've forgotten. Maybe I'll reread that one of these days...
And finally, if you're still reading this... did you just get dragged into the rabbit hole I fell into?
Perhaps congratulations are in order for all that reading, if that makes you feel any better.

I read it through to see if you actually had a point... and nope, apparently not.
