Missed Connections?

Have you ever come across a profile and think, "She's my dream girl!" after seeing her photo, biography, other profile details?
I came across one today that is too perfect. Of course, she just stopped posting at this one place. Unbelievable because I've always been a member of multiple message boards and this one in particular was geared to me.
It was too good to be true. I sent her a message, but she hasn't been on in almost 3 years. And she had handfuls of threads basically saying the same thing - looking for someone who believes in this and that, love this and that, and I'm literally shaking my head right now. For her, too! Waiting a lifetime, and then ....

You need to take those with a grain of salt. Everyone lies. And, if it's to good to be true, it usually is.

Not everyone. But when it's too good to be true, it probably isn't true. Normally I have doubts with a too perfect profile.

Sadly, it happens. I had many instances of stuff like this. you can only do so much. be true to yourself and that's the only person you can trust to be true. It's a sad truth to be sure.
