Do you like crocs?

You know those plastic shoes, not generally attractive, but functional. I wear them pretty often for the in between weather. Very easy to slip in and out of. Crocs used to be really kind of ugly, but actually some of the newer pairs are kind of spiffy looking. I own one spiffy pair and one basic pair. I was standing in a line one time talking to the lady in front of me, she said a friend of hers owned like 30 some pairs of crocs. I guess the question would be why? I don't even own 30 pairs of shoes.

I have never owned a pair of crocs. I had about five pairs of cloth/slip on shoes, in various colors. They ran about $2.50 a pair.

@snowy22315 At this time, those cloth slip on shoes probably cost over $5. I haven't priced them lately.

They are great to just slip on and off especially if the weather is a bit too cool for sandals.

Crocs are all I wear..all the time. They are the most comfortable for me and I love the little massage bumps on the sandals. The only other shoe I wear besides my winter and rain boots are Reeboks for walking.

Yes, crocs are a nice and comfy shoe. I had a pair of Reeboks in the 80's. They lasted forever.

@snowy22315 I used to have more pairs of crocs but now I just have 3. I never owned 30 though. I have a pair I like to wear on our Sabbath and one for our Day of Atonement because we are not supposed to wear shoes with leather soles and one pair I wear on a regular basis. They are not good to wear when a floor is wet or when it rains. I usually wear mine indoors but sometimes I forget to change shoes so wear them by accident outside.

Most of the ones I wear have some kind of tread on the bottom, but my older pair all the tread that is there is worn off..so they is a concern.

@snowy22315 I can see how they would be a concern. Would you throw them out or can you still wear them and they will be ok inside.

I also have one that I usually wear around the compound and nearby areas. For me they look good but I can't buy 30 pairs that is too much.

Oh, don't get me started! I went for a treatment at the physio clinic yesterday and they want you to use the provided 'crocs' or at least 'croc knockoffs' instead of wearing your street shoes. Well, there was a good 20 minutes of hilarity, waiting for our appointments - how ugly they are, what was the rationale behind them, what were they actually designed for etc Yes, it was fun mocking them I DO, however, have two pair of the 'spiffy' ones - really cute little sandals that, if you don't look too closely, look like little dressy sandals - but I haven't been able to find them again - seems like 'cute crocs' were a passing fad

I have pretty crocs and find them really comfortable and, as you say, easy to slip on and off. I had black ones with holes years ago. These don't have holes so get a bit hot in summer.

SEs, they are a cheap and functional shoe. They are too hot to wear when the weather is uncomfortably warm though.

They are very comfortable. I also like it that you can hose them off. Heck, I've even tossed them in the washer, no, not the dryer! I can't do flip flops, but I can do Crocs. I have 2 pair. One are so worn out I have to toss them, I bet they are 10 years old. The other pair is still fine.
