During the old days in Tajikistan, it was always a struggling moment to cook in the kitchen department. I must admit that I am not into cooking. Not until my mom died early this year that I need to be a chef in the house. Today, I am proud to say that I was able to cook 'sauteed mung beans.' The rest of the family and I will have a nice meal for lunch. Are you a master chef in your house? What's cooking for lunch, guys?

What did you use for it, pork, fish or canned tuna?

I am not a chef by far but I can cook. For lunch I believe I had a grilled cheese sandwich with chips

You can never be wrong with sandwiches and chips. I love to eat them. I am not planning to be a master chef, but cooking decent meals will be fine for me.

@Shavkat Indeed it is a must now that you have to look fter yourself. Just think that it is something good to learn and enjoy the fruits of that skill.

@rsa101 Actually, I am like a mother and father to my siblings now. I promised to them before losing their last breath to take good care of them. I am saying it literally because I whispered to their ears about this promise.

My other siblings are far better at cooking. If they are with me, they will do it. Since I was in primary school, I even hate cooking rice despite using the rice cooker. It is not my thing but I need to change it since my lovely mom is not here anymore.

I like cooking and I often like to make new dishes. I think I am good at it and I enjoy it. I also like to learn new dishes online and I also share my successful recipes online.

@Shavkat Sometimes I also share it here, but it depends on. I like to post something special here. If I post all the recipes here, it seems to be boring

It is nice that you are into this interest. If you have the chance, why not share those successful Cantonese dishes you made here.

I used to cook for my late mom before she passed away. Now my older sister is the main cook of the home after I moved in to live with her.

I am glad that you have your older sister who can do the cooking for you and the rest of the family. My younger sister and brother do not allow me to cook if we are all together. They do not trust my cooking skill.lol I must say that I am learning and proud of myself for taking the next step of my life in cooking 101.

Yes, I am the master chef in our house and I like to present the food so that it is also appealing for the eyes, so really "foodporn".

I learned how to cook after I left the Philippines for Germany. I had to learn as no mother for me to cook my Filipino food. I had fried rice for dinner a few hours ago.

Honestly, I have not tried to make fried rice. It is not because I do not like it. The reason is that I have not tried to cook it yet. I will try it after watching a video on YouTube for it. I am really not that good at cooking yet.
