Endoscopy test

Nairobi, Kenya
May 6, 2022 5:16am CST
My mom has been having abdominal pains and she used to have ulcers. She recently went to the hospital since she has been using the medicines for years but she still has pains. They told her she need to get an endoscopy test done and I searched about it and I saw that you get a tube with a camera inserted in you stomach. .. she is so scared and I can tell but since there is no other way the doctor can know what is happening she just needs to go. I pray that she can get it done successfully and that she gets proper treatment inorder for her to get well. Has anyone been done this test before?

I haven't, but I don't think it is that big of a deal really. Now a colonoscopy is another matter. I don't think I will get another one of those ever again. It was miserable.

There are other methods that don' involve colonoscopy.

@snowy22315 But if you want to get medical assistance for your problem you just have to.

It is best she gets checked before the situation gets worse. Medicines and pills treat the symptoms, but the root cause is still there.

@Hildasalom Tell her to try to stay calm and take deep breaths. It will not be so bad.

Who is Mypm? Sorry about the pain that she is undergoing. Endoscopy does sound scary and is definitely inconvenient. But then she has to undergo it to get better medical clarity and help. Hope all goes well and they get the right diagnosis and are able to help her.
