Jenn Ellenberger who is a third grade at Tuslaw Elementary School which is located in Tuscarawas Township Ohio credits her training that is required by her employer in case their services are needed to save the lives of anyone who needs their help was in the right place in the right time on April 29 when her student nine year old Donte Drotar was eating a frozen treat when he ate the meal the wrong way and he began to choke on his food.
Jenn used her first aid life saving skills to good use by using the Heimlich Maneuver to get the food particle that was stuck inside of his throat.
The food particle that was in his throat did come out in time where Donte was able to breathe once again.
In a case of good parenting skills, Donte credits his parents for teaching him to remain calm when Jenn used the Heimlich Maneuver for the first time in 30 years which made it easier for her to save his life.
I am sure that Donte's parents will thank Jenn for saving the life of their son when they meet in the near future since it is nice to see that teachers are being trained by their employers to learn first aid skills so they can save lives when an emergency happens.

That's true. If every school employer taught teachers this life saving skill students would be in safer hands.

That is true since when I went to school as far I know no teacher had training in first aid training that I knew of.
