The cow Palace in Daly City. It is near the border of San Francisco City/County. There is a lot of history to this building. It is an indoor arena which was completed in 1941, so this is some vintage 20th century architecture. It was completed through the WPA work program.Part of the parking lot is in San Francisco. It is visible from the Bayshore Caltrain Station. It hosted the NBA team the San Francisco Warriors from 1962to 1964 and again in 1966 to 1971. The Republican National Convention was held here in 1956 and 1964. During World War II, it was used for processing soldiers for the Pacific Theatre. Many sports events have been held here. Ice shows have been held here too. The Dickens Holiday Faire has been held here.

It was named during the Depression when it was proposed. People complained about building a “ palace for cows” and the name stuck.

That would be a good idea. You could find the sign saying you're entering the city and county of San Francisco.
