Do you think this will help change who the High posters of the day are? Do you think it is about time for this change here? I know I was beginning to wonder how people could post they were posting 400 replies here in a day without them being only a one-four word posting. I am Glad to see us finally geting rewarded more for the type of discussion we post, and the length of our posts. Way to Go myLot.

It also seems that those who can't write in english have gone! Surely the daily ranking will change!

But, I dont think it has in any way discouraged the one-word-answer crowd. They are still rampant. May be its the jump in their rating points which entices them to go for it!

Well, I am still seeing Lower earnings here per day, so it must just be something that myLot did as a special bonus the end of November. I wonder if it will be this way the end of December as well? We will have to wait and see won't we?

I think that the changes are wonderful because no longer will we have to put up with "what flavour ice cream do you prefer". GRRR Those who start that type of discussion or respond with one or two words will soon be weeded out, simply because they will find that they are not earning the money they have been in the past. I know that there will still be some "cut and paste" responses but it is up to the members to deal with that by either giving a negative, making a comment to the effect of the response or reporting the person to myLot. I also think that some of the high posters will disappear, i.e. certainly their rating will still increase but their earnings will not. I am one of those who tends to make long responses, so will not be affected. Good luck to everyone who is here at myLot for genuine discussions. :)

I LOVE the new changes. There are quality posts with intelligent conversation. My earnings yesterday were almost 2 bucks instead of the 50 cent average I was earning before. I don't have to sort through so much junk to find a good topic. CUDOS mylot.

I am glad they did it too. Sometimes I would answer the easy questions but I always tried to make it interesting and at least have a few sentences. And now we won't have to weed through all the garbage to find the good topics.

Yes, but sometimes I wish they could switch what is on the Front page than just the Strong topics, as I am getting a lot less hits right now on my discussions than I used too.

I think it already as changed who the high posters are. However, one of the high posters I noticed always had pretty decent responses. It wasn't just one or two words. I can't imagine how they did it. I am happy for this change. I think it is a significant change and will make myLot better for sure.

I was only a member a few days before the update and I must say it is WONDERFUL. I was turned off a bit by the stupid conversations like "Are you breathing?". Now I am getting real answers to things I want to know and am able to offer my advice or knowledge to others. Plus get paid a bit more for doing so! LOVE IT!

At least we thought it would, except when you see the High poster again with a Rating of only 9, and wonder how?

I think that now only people who write quality posts will earn a lot of money. This will be bad for people who written a lot of posts everyday, but composed by only one or two words, without any sense. Sometimes the lenght of a post or of a discussion is not so important, we have to say something useful for other people, I think. If we can help each other, it will be a very good goal for this community.

I have to admit that it is about time mylot started rewarding there harder workers. For those of us who make it a point to search for the quality discussions so we can leave quality responses it is time consuming. Yes it is easy to just leave a yes or no answer and move on the the next just to get a high rank. Personally all I use the rank for is to see howm any responses I did for that day. Other than that it means nothing to me. I like leaving "long winded" responses in discussions because 1 yes you earn more money but it also gets others to comment and respond there opnions and thoughts. That is the whole point of this website. To engage in and start discussions that have meaning, not be brainless. Any one can answer brainless answers, it takes alot of thought to answer a REAL discussion.

I could not agree with you more and I, too, am very glad to see the rewards reflecting community and quality rather than quantity. I hope the "Today's Top Users" eventually reflects this as well.

It's really a good thing to see that mylot is able to figure out a more efficient way to filter out those who are not serious in posting quality message. But it's kind of human nature to be selfish & gain the benefit out. Those who post rubbish & junk discussion are mostly target to increase the earning rating. I had seen meaningless post & also junks of meaningless word filling other people discussion. (luckily i had not met one) I did encouter one case where one guy copy the first repondent's message & paste as his own. (so i got double capture of same message). I think this is really inappropriate to do such a thing. Good luck to everybody and have a nice time with the new mylot!

I guess most people are making longer and more decent replies now and that's definitely a good thing. I'm glad Mylot is anticipâting very fast when people abuse their system. xx
