i had this teacher in college who didn't let us use phones in the class. We have had such teachers before but we were surprised when this young friendly teacher who could be just few years older did this. seeing the frustrated look on her students over not being able to pull out their phones, she told as that we could take a pen and paper and doodle but we were not allowed phones or any other devices. One of the students told her that it will be difficult as we always takes notes in the phone, as typing out is much more easier when the teacher talks fast. the teacher told us that even if we had to write faster she wouldn't let us takes notes in phones because firstly mobile phones are distracting and secondly the reason she gave was that we will forget how to correctly spell words since we use autocorrect all the time. fair enough whenever I'm writing something i find it difficult to spell some words like consciousness, meticulous, or even simpler ones like immediately, tomorrow, etc. this proves that she is right. we are forgetting the spellings. personally i think even in this tech advanced era, we should give a language the respect it deserves.

I applaud this young teacher, this shows that we still have people who use their brain.
All what the teacher said is true. What if for no matter what reason we are without electricity for days? People must learn to live without their phones.

I know that at the middle school, he child isn't allowed to have it out in class. They actually have jammers that make it so the kids cant use their phones in school.

That's why it's important to have or bring dictionary and thesaurus in class.
