I made it through my longest day of the week. Tomorrow I relax with the kids.

I arose at 6:20 AM this morning and am finally settling in to drink some wine and MyLot a bit. I will also practice a new guitar song song whose chord progression I discovered serendipitously.
I worked with the kids this morning and had fun, though my "project" kid took a step backwards. He stomped on a ladybug that another kid had befriended. Yes, there were tears, but we gave the ladybug a proper funeral and dumped her lifeless body near some flowers.
My guitar and bass students did well, and I have two kids learning the lead and chord progression to Guns 'n Roses's Sweet Child of Mine. It's always fun watching elementary school kids "rock out."
But now, 9 PM approaches, and I am tired and hungry.
I am cooking up a "TV Dinner" and will soon retire to my bed.
How was your Wednesday?
Here's the Greg Brown song I'm learning, for those interested.@FourWalls may know it. @Vandana7 will like it because it's a happy song (relatively speaking).

Love the guitar on that song. Reminds me of growing up and going to grandparents and listening to my uncle play.
Today is Thursday and we are slowly creeping to the end of the year.

I have the chords down that he uses throughout the song. I believe he is playing in drop D tuning. I want to add this one to my list of songs to do. @Vandana7 will be pleased, as it's a "happy" song, relative to most of what I play.

I was in the mood for pizza, so I had to go to Italy...I tried to get one delivered but it was going to take forever.

@LadyDuck It's funny that I have been to Assisi several times. Its a quick drive from my sister's place near Perugia. St. Francis is one of my role models. He was a partying middle class guy who gave up his riches to help the poor. Also, he was an animal lover.

He may be in the habit of smashing bugs at home for a good reason. At that age a bug is a bug if they have been taught to kill them.
Your guitar lessons sound like lots of fun

@TheHorse At least you have made more steps forward than back. Hopefully he moves forward again

You have to expect some set backs with your project child.
I had a busy day at work. Payday, yay! Now to get to the bank.
I’ve been working hard on a quilt (a two year project), and have made progress.

You had a full day. Wednesday, yesterday, made my fried rice, a lot of leftovers & ate half. A lazy rainy day.

That must be funny seeing elementary school kids playing rock.
Not the best wednesday for me.

Too bad about the ladybug. I'm glad your lessons went well. Have a good one.

@TheHorse That's a good practice. Kids that are mean toward insects could escalate to be mean toward animals...and that's a bad sign.
