Nice cool weather again this morning. Enjoyed coffee in the screen room. Brendel has decided she wants her heating pad back for now. I put it in the closet when the 90s temperatures arrived.
But this week after the rain, we are cool. And it is so nice. She is enjoying her heat again. More rain coming soon as well.
So quiet in the neighborhood. I saw a few neighbors walking their dogs. I took a walk around the block earlier. Always nice to see new faces and friendly dogs.
Another family moved in. A job transfer from New Jersey. They love it here. I told them it is a whole new world here. People are very friendly. She agreed and said she was very impressed with just how friendly everyone is. And her two dogs were a cocker spaniel (a favorite breed), and a labrador retriever.
Photo is mine. Another favorite Eeyore mug.

We have new move-ins here as well. I think they will start talking if I will be the one to start the conversation. Good for you that you can start a conversation

Nice to have a new move-in in your place. It's good she's a good impression about the people especially you.

I’m glad that you met your new neighbors. I have a brother-in-law from New Jersey.

Yes, true. To be fortunate to live next to good neighbors is definitely a plus. In my neighborhood I have found few considerate neighbors. Maybe a coincidence or a sign of the times?

@dgobucks226 I do not know many of mine. Only the ones I see out walking usually. People are not as friendly as they used to be unfortunately.

Cool weather is great for walking. It sounds as if many in your neighborhood feel the same.I am glad a simple heating pad makes a good place for Brendel, you have had her a long time.

Brendel needing a heating pad during Summers!
Sounds surprising.
But well, the weather can be so fluctuating.
We had a few pleasant days courtesy some rains.
Yet today the mercury looks like on an increasing curve again and with additional humidity now.
It is always good to have friendly families moving in.
I hope that they have a nice stay in your area.

I like the mug. You have a friendly neighborhood. Here everyday we don't talk or visit our neighbors. We just relate to those in our compound

I have a Marvin the Martian mug like that. I love it, too.
Your new neighbors are going to think they’ve landed on another planet with the friendly people, mild winters, and GALLONS OF TEA!!!!!

It's always nice to meet new people be they neighbors or just in the community. I met a lot of people moving here, while I'm working, and find that some came from states where I've lived in the past
Yearly we have a neighborhood get together and we meet new neighbors that way.

@CarolDM I'm sure there are more in the vicinity that I don't know than those I do know. Maybe once I retire I'll meet more.

@MarshaMusselman Houses are sold here before I even know they were for sale. The housing market is crazy right now.

Sadly, because of old age,' we constantly have 'new' old neighbors!! Around here if you don't see someone for a few days you are afraid to ask anyone if they saw them!!
