Apparently, this is the second time this soda has been released in the US. Yesterday was the first time I've heard about it. Pretty insisted we try it. She didn't like it, but I do. It is Dr Pepper with black cherry, blackberry and black currant flavor added. (To me, it actually tastes like blueberry. *shrug* Whatever they say, it's delicious! ) Pretty tried to find a bottle of it but all we could find were 12 packs of it, so that's what we bought. (I don't drink soda very often because I'm not supposed to have the sugar, but I've had two of the 12 ounce cans since we bought this. ) Have you tried this soda? Photo is used under the Fair Use Copyright.

If you come here and it's still being produced, I'll make sure and have some for you. It would be too expensive to ship it there.

Good that you liked it. And since Pretty does not like it, you have all the cans for yourself. So, go ahead in a controlled moderate way . I don't drink soda and no one in family does. I don't remember buying them ever for our family grocery. Yes, sometimes we bring a soda bottle when my husband has company for drink party.

I'll need to treat the rest of them like I do the Mountain Dew Code Red that I like so much. I drink one or, sometimes, two of those in a week. Pretty started drinking sugar-free soda several years ago but those taste nasty to me.

@DaddyEvil I guess two in a week is good. You have a good control . Pretty seems to be all for healthy and sugar free stuff. Yes, they might not taste that good.

Ohhhh, I have a friend who is a Dr. Pepper freak . . . I better tell her about this one ! I didn't even know about the first time around . . . how strange to see the can in "blue". I would want to find just 1 bottle/can of it it too - just to try it.

@DaddyEvil I did go to a couple grocery stores earlier ... didn't see it (but of course saw plenty of the regular Dr. Pepper though). So does it even taste like Dr. Pepper? I can't imagine it with berry flavors added to it. Ohhhh, thank you, yes, please save me a can for when I get out there. Or better save 2 so we don't fight for that 1 can .

@much2say Not to me it doesn't. But I always preferred the Dr Pepper with Cherry in it. Okay, I'll put two cans in my closet, then.

It's a limited edition to go along with the Jurassic Park movies when they premier. The first time the soda was available was in 2019 with the 5th (I think.) Jurassic Park movie. If you come visit, you can have a can of ours. I shouldn't be drinking regular soda, anyway.

That is interesting, my brothers favorite drink but he does not like when they mess with original flavor other than no sugar. He older now so doing health thing but he gets mad when it does not taste like original. Sounds good to me, I am with you.

@DaddyEvil I have had some not bad, not sure how they do it, monster does it well,. For example like Nutrisweet and all that I swear I get diabetic or how I perceive diabetes to be. Monster has so many flavors of sweetness its hard to say if it is natural or what not but much better than that fake sugar. I always think people go to far with that type of stuff and your body normally lets you know. Even mine, dude you had to much to drink go to bed.

@crossbones27 I'm pre-diabetic and can tell if I get too much sugar. Believe it or not, I can hear it. I start hearing a buzzing sound in my ears that stays with me for two or three hours. When I hear that, I know I've gone too far so stay away from sugar for a day or two.

I don't understand how anyone can drink stuff that's sugar-free. It doesn't taste right and is just as bad for a person as the sugar laden items are.

Once in a great while I will drink Mellow Yellow. (It's not sold here except for the 20 oz bottles, so I don't buy it often. 20 oz of sugar water is too much for me at a time.)

@RubyHawk But I'm not going to cut out sugar water in exchange for the sugar-less soda. Not only do those taste nasty, but the sugar-less sweeteners are just as bad for a person as sugar is. If I'm going to be fat, it's going to be because I'm enjoying what I eat and drink.

Reminds me of something I heard about 'claiming to use blueberries (in packaged foods) (& a little off-topic: who's checking to see if 'images online' are "licensed" anymore? )

I said it tastes like blueberries, no matter what the packaging says. That company didn't claim blueberries are used in the soda, nor did I say there were blueberries used in it. When I started online, a person had to say where the photo used in a discussion/article came from or you stood a good chance of losing the discussion/article. I still do that.

I don't know, either. This soda is manufactured as a limited edition to go along with the Jurassic Park movies. The last time it was being sold here was in 2019 for two months at the time the last movie premiered.

It's a limited edition and will only be available for a short time. It was last sold in 2019 and was only on shelves for a couple of months. We bought this at Walmart. (Don't try to order it online. It's priced at $34.99 for a 12-pack there.) We paid a little over $5 for it in Walmart.

I've not tried it but I've sold it, where I work. Good too know. I don't buy pop either. A few weeks ago I got a six pack of coke zero as were on a diet and I've not had one of those yet either. Maybe next week when the temps go back up again. I also try not to have pop unless I've first had some water. If I were to buy pop other than the lower sugar ones I'd get voltage. I like that. It's a Pepsi product.

I rarely, if ever, drink soda. I used to, every once in a while but sure not often. On the day I discovered that most sodas have 14 teaspoons of sugar in them, I decided I never want one at all. If I am going to indulge in all of that sugar, I am going to eat the occasional wonderful dessert instead of drinking a soda. I have had to cut down to almost no sugar, so it's not as hard as it used to be.
