How to get a person to like you?

Would anyone among us not want to be liked? Being liked by others is a desirable trait. We all would want to be liked and appreciated. Knowing that you are well-liked by those around you, would certainly make you feel happy and secure in your relationships. So what can you do to get a person to like you? It is important, to be honest, and evaluate your motives. Ask yourself: “Why do you want a particular person to like you?” Are you truly attracted to him/her and enjoy his/her company? Or are you more concerned about using that person to get what you want, like being nice knowing that he/she is on good terms with your boss? Let your acts of kindness spring from the goodness of your heart and not from any ulterior motives. Being nice to all people at all times is definitely a very likable trait in a person. You can also get a person to like you when you manifest a genuine interest in that person and take time to find what is important to the person you wish to befriend. Reaching out to that person can make a big difference. Sincerity in one’s interactions is a sure sign that you are genuine in all that you say and do. Your level of likability can be considerably enhanced by your thoughtful behavior. When you consistently show consideration of a person’s feelings, you are most likely to gain respect and admiration from that person. It would then be the surest way to get the person to like you.
