I am a Fair Weather...

Golfer, Gardener, Cycler, Kayaker Downhill skier But I will go outside all winter, no matter the weather to skate, cross-country ski, snowshoe, hike. Some days, I just need more clothes than others. As winter was ending, I was dreading yard work while others were getting excited about gardening. I prefer my yard buried in white. Less work I enjoy my winter activities and then relaxing in my cozy home. This time of year, I have a very narrow temperature window to be active outside. Yesterday was the perfect day to work in the yard. Not hot, not cold, gentle breeze, no mosquitoes. +19°C. This is also a nice temperature for, cycling, golfing, and hiking. But there is too much yard work, I am stuck working on those days! For paddling, I need a higher temperature. But below +30°C. Am I too fussy about temperature?

Nope! A lot of people can't handle too hot or too cold. (I think those other temps are why they invented teenagers. )

I understand that you do not like the hot months. For the moment the temperature is fine, we had a heatwave and reached +30º C at mid-May, I was scared. Now we are back to a maximum of 25º C that is fine for me.

Not really,. But yesterday, I sat on my stool with my coffee and pulled a few weeds. So, that was enjoyable. There is just so much else to do!

It usually does well. Good soil there. Not in some of the rest of the yard.

We are all fussy in one way or another. I prefer the hot side of things but not if it's too much over 38c

I can imagine. I for one would hibernate if it got as cold as what you get but I thaw out nicely once it's a least 23c.

@rebelann I do bundle up and go out. But that is fairly brief and then there is plenty of cozy hibernating!

Probably not. I'm fussy about the temp too . I'm also fussy about how much time I have to accomplish things. Today I don't work until five pm and thought I'd get a lot done around here. But I've been on my phone since I got up at eight this morning. It's time to do something! Maybe figure out supper before cleaning or whatever.

You are allowed to be as fussy as you like. Right now I am so behind on yard work, but I like everything from 50 to 90 F. However someone must turn off the rain.
