"Amber!"

So the other day I called for pizza delivery, which I hadn't in years. The driver called me about thirty minutes later asking where building two was, and which breezeway was mine. I directed him to the breezeway closest to the pool, and told him my apartment was on the top floor (my apartment number was included). A few minutes later I hear someone yelling, "Amber! Amber! Where are you?" I opened my front door, laughing, and took the pizza. Anyone have any delivery stories?

We typically do pick up to avoid delays from the delivery person. Tonight is Chinese actually.

The last time I ordered anything for delivery was when I was still in Latvia and then the delivery guy only had to come to my garden gate,

None here. Usually pickup a pizza every now and then and that is about it.

Once I ordered pizza and the pizza guy came back and knocked at the door. He had left his car running while he delivered to us. And his car was stolen. We took him back to the pizza place and he filed a police report. I do not know if he got his car back or not. Why would you leave your car running?

they do not deliver to me most of the time. it is funny because sometimes, I'll get a guy that doesn't know they don't go this far out, and he will, but the next time I call they say nope, we don't deliver way out there.

Oh cool! Was your pizza good? That's hilarious but I'm happy he found you eventually. I grew up in the middle of country - no one delivered out that far. One pizza place did deliver out as far as the nearest tiny town (population 117) about 3 miles away from us. So once we told them to meet us there and then brought the pizza home. Even still getting delivery food seems like the biggest treat. I call a number or put in an order online and food appears. I love it

lol. Whoever thought that ordering a simple pizza could be that entertaining. But here we are. I did order a pizza some years back and it seemed like it was taking longer than usual to get it. Finally I got a driver asking for permission to get onto Scott Air Force Base. We live near that. "I am not on the base," I told the driver. Apparently there was an address on base that was the same as mine off base. I did eventually get my pizza, albeit a bit cold—but they did give me a little discount due to the mixup.

That's funny! The pickup man does not go to my house. I need to go to the road and hand him the parcel to be delivered to a buyer.

This is a funny story. I remember years ago that a UPS deliverer could not find our home. When he arrived he insisted the name of our road was not what I wrote but another name. He was totally nuts (or drunk).

No, but that one is funny! We live up in the mountains in a community that delivery drivers can't get into. We would have to drive to the gate to get the food. We just go ourselves.

Really funny! Has pizza delivery these days become this hard? Also, the delivery boy calling you like your close mate
