About two years ago we had an eruption on taal volcano. That night I realized the ash fall coming down. Luckily, I was able to buy and wear mask that evening. The next day I had to remove the ash from our roof tops, which became unbearable to the gutters, forced us to replace it later on.
Yesterday, on mt. bulusan the volcano exploded causing another ashfall. The motorist nearly had zero visibility because of the ash.
In the past we visited visit Taal Volcano because my brother did some thesis over there. But we never saw the mouth, and it was hot then. Sadly, we can't visit the place anymore.
Stay safe and have a nice day

We are fairly far away from Mt Bulusan. It originated in my province, and thus far, my father's home has been unaffected, with only minor ashfall reaching them. I just hope that the eruption is only phreatic and that no more powerful eruptions occur, because the phreatic eruptions simply blasted ash all over the area, and the damage is not yet significant. However, if this continues to be a serious eruption, everyone in the area must be evacuated.

@Letranknight2015 Fortunately, the eruptions ceased in the meantime. I just hope it doesn't erupt again because it could cause significant damage to the area if it does. So far, I haven't heard of any collateral damage; only that some parts of the area where the wind was blowing were covered in ashes.

@Letranknight2015 Lake Toba in Indonesia exploded 74000 years ago. It was the greatest to occur over millions of years. It was a super volcano.
The damage will be horrendous if a similar explosion occurs now.

Wear a mask all the time. It's highly imperative.

@Letranknight2015 i think you are right on that. Well i just hope our government can supply them clean drinking water hence water is essential most especially with that kind of calamity. A clean drinking water is needed to be provided to each household that had been affected by the ashfall

I had to check where mt Bulusan is. So aside from Mt Mayon, there is another active Volcano in the Bicol region.
