My maid sudden leave gives me a back ache.

Today my maid stayed away from work without prior information. Doing all the household cleaning and washing gave me a severe back ache. I had to be fast for as the Sun rises high it becomes impossible for work because of the heat and profuse perspiration. Really these Indian maids are sometimes unpredictable. I always paid extra to the substitute she sent whenever she took a leave. Inspite of that she took a leave without notice. I think my old age is telling on me as a few years ago I used to do the household work effortlessly whenever the maid was absent.

I can't work slowly in this heat for after the Sun rises high it would be difficult to work.

That's so sweet of you. I can't make my friends do my household chores. I did finish up my work of cleaning and watering the plants in the garden by 8am. My back ache is better now.

@DWDavis No good reason. She went to her village for half a day and stayed back. She is building a house in her village.

I won't replace her as this is after long years that she stayed away without notice. I am searching for a full time maid.

I already had 5 maids since February. All of them dissapeared without notice. After getting their salary they vanish. Take it easy, do not exhaust yourself in one day. Hope you feel better soon.

Here some maids do behave in an ungrateful manner but my maid is not that mean. She has been working in my house since 7years, but she is out and out to extract more money more than the rate that's going on here.
