If so are you able to eat it cold or do you need to warm it up first?
Yesterday someone bought some smoked salmon that was on sale and told me it was the best one we sell. I mentioned that even though it's already cooked I have a hard time eating it cold. She said this brand is great that way but other brands she has difficulty eating cold too. For her it depends on the texture.
I asked my husband and he didn't think he could eat it cold so I cooked it in the air fryer for supper tonight. It was quite good that way.
So, if you buy and eat smoked salmon are you able to eat it cold?

@JudyEv I just can't get past the idea that it's raw even though I know that it's already cooked. My sister says she as it to things already cooked like Mac and cheese. She used to hear the salmon to but now mostly ada it cold to things but she had to work up to doing it that way.

I don't eat fish but can't eat seafood since I'm allergic to it.

@DaddyEvil I never realized fish wasn't a part of the seafood category.
I had problems with bones in fish when I was young so didn't like fish for many years. Then I worked in a restaurant so began having it a little. Haven't had it much recently though.

I love salmon, but I don't think I've had it cold. We had some really yummy salmon with a sweet tomato jam at our granddaughter's wedding rehearsal dinner recently.

@MarshaMusselman Oh, that's right. It's already cooked if it's smoked.

If it's just salmon I think it needs to be cooked in some fashion first but if it's smoked it's already cooked and can be eaten cold if enjoyed that way.

@1creekgirl even with it smoked I'm not sure that I can eat it cold but I've not yet tried either.

It is not something we have often, but I have had it before and I know it is good. I don't think I have ever had smoked salmon cold, but I have had salmon nigiri and that is cold because it is raw, and that is very good.

I think raw salmon can be found in sushi also but I've yet to bring myself to eat sushi so I don't know much about that is salmon nigiri a way it's prepared that your able to eat it cold? Maybe I'll look it up.
It sounds like salmon nigiri is what's used in sushi with salmon because it's made with rice. It says it's you don't want raw salmon of a particular type your can use smoked or hear it first.

@MarshaMusselman salmon nigiri is the salmon sushi (not to be confused with salmon sashimi which is not sushi)
Sushi is good, it can take some getting used to if you are used to having your fish cooked, but yes sushi is generally cold because it is using raw fish and vegetables, the rice is cooked but cooled down. You can have cooked fish for a sushi roll, but generally it is raw and very good!

@MarshaMusselman It is smoked whole and then cut into very thin slivers.

@CarolDM I've had it at IKEA in their restaurant but I don't think it was the smoked version. And it was hot.

@MarshaMusselman It's a boneless fish. Its skin should be removed before frying and baking.
