(Incident took place last year in the summer) One day I was out and about just looking around in stores. Everything was good. On that day I was wearing my red Angels MLB baseball cap. (any guesses where this is going?) Everything was fine until I was walking down the aisle in a local walmart a town away. A young man, no older than early 30's, bumped into me with a good push as he walked by me and called me racist. I looked at him, then I looked around and behind me to see who he was talking to while at the same time I said sorry for bumping into him. He tells me not to "play" stupid. I quickly replied that I wasnt familiar with the game. It seemed to of angered him. He immediately points at my hat in the child seat area of the cart where I had placed it. So I asked if he was a "Doyers" fan (yes, i said it with the slang). He started to look flustered. I was then asked if I was proud of myself for supporting what "that red hat" stood for. I said I was and then he threatened my hat with kidnapping, battery and arson. I started to walk away and told him to f@@k off. Thats when I saw his fist go into a pugilistic readiness. "wow. you serious." I said. His response, "I'm down! Mother"lover!" I chuckled and started to continue walking away. By this time a handful of people were standing around watching us. I kept my eyes on him as I walked away, and right when I saw him come towards me I turned around right as a stranger got up in his face and told him no. I told the stranger thanks but to let him go. Obviously he has hatred for an Angels fan. But I'm just gonna go about my business and I suggested to the guy he do the same. Thats when the guy says he thought it was a TRUMP hat. And he sorta apoligized. "My bad." I told him no, its an Angels hat and showed it to him. Then I told him to go fornicate with himself and (just to pi$$ him off) I also said "MAGA for life!" People there laughed. I walked away. Never saw the guy again. Got fist bumps along the way. Photograph- Taken/Owned by me, Plethos

A case of mistaken identity I guess If somebody had a Biden hat here I would expect similar. I would have been tempted to tell him he was behaving like a Trump supporter and gotten the Hell out of Dodge!

it seems that way. i think most people just jump to conclusions way too soon. no one seems to want to take the time and gather all the information first. or use some common sense.

@Plethos So true. So much anger out there sometimes but luckily we're removed from a lot of it now. We don't go out a lot where there are crowds of people but you get it anywhere from time to time - as you discovered.
